The development of the corona pandemic keeps Hesse in suspense. According to the RKI, the incidence will fall again on Sunday (02/27/2022).
Frankfurt – The Robert Koch Institute has the current Corona– Case numbers* for the state of Hesse* published. According to this, 6046 new infections were reported on Sunday (02/26/2022). Since the beginning of the corona pandemic, the health authorities in Hesse have recorded a total of 1,059,416 people with a Sars-CoV-2 infection.
The country’s seven-day incidence fell from the previous day and now stands at 962.7 (previous day: 974.0). For the first time in several weeks, the incidence is no longer in four figures. According to the RKI, the number of new deaths in Hesse is 8 (9,176 in total).

Corona in Hesse: The current number of cases from the RKI at a glance
The case numbers of the RKI may differ from those of the individual federal states. One reason for this is the longer transmission paths between the RKI and the responsible health authorities. The RKI’s Covid-19 dashboard can also be adjusted during the day. The RKI also warns: It could be that the decline in incidence does not reflect the actual infection process, but is the result of an overloaded reporting and testing system. In addition, it could play a role that some people do not have their positive self-test or rapid test clarified with a PCR test. They will then not appear in the statistics.

Hesse will also soon have new corona rules. At a federal-state summit on Wednesday (February 16, 2022), the heads of the federal states and the federal government around Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) agreed on a gradual, extensive relaxation of the previous protective measures.
According to RKI information, the corona incidence in Hesse continued to fall on Sunday (February 27th, 2022).
