Update from Friday, May 14th, 2021, 10.40 a.m .: In Germany, on Wednesday (May 12th, 2021), more people were vaccinated against the coronavirus than ever before. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Friday (as of 09.35 a.m.), 1,353,453 vaccine syringes were used, on Ascension Day it was 408,260. As Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) announced on Twitter, almost two percent of the German population were vaccinated on both days.
This means that 35.9 percent (29.8 million) of people in Germany have been vaccinated at least once and 10.6 percent (8.8 million) are fully protected. According to the RKI, there had already been three days in the past few weeks on which more than a million injection syringes were used before the new daily record. In total, about 38.6 million vaccine doses were administered up to and including Thursday (May 13, 2021).
The vaccination rate varies depending on the federal state. The Saarland has the highest quota of at least first vaccinated persons at 40.4 percent. At 31.1 percent, Saxony is slightly behind the other federal states. In Hesse, the vaccination rate is 35.9 percent.

Corona in Germany: Around a third of people are vaccinated for the first time

Corona vaccinations in Germany: Slight decrease – Less than a million vaccinated a day

Update from Thursday, May 6th, 2021, 11.35 a.m .: In Germany, 30.6 percent of people have now received at least one corona vaccination. On Sunday, May 2, 2021, 250,114 vaccine doses were administered in Germany. This means that 6,655,866 people (8.0% of the total population) are fully vaccinated. A total of 23,492,053 people received at least one dose of vaccine.
Vaccination against Corona: Biontech / Pfizer most used vaccine in Germany
However, the vaccination rate varies greatly between the federal states. The Saarland has the highest rate among those who have been vaccinated, i.e. people with at least one primary vaccination, at 31.4 percent.
