Update from Friday, May 14th, 2021, 10.40 a.m .: In Germany, on Wednesday (May 12th, 2021), more people were vaccinated against the coronavirus than ever before. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Friday (as of 09.35 a.m.), 1,353,453 vaccine syringes were used, on Ascension Day it was 408,260. As Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) announced on Twitter, almost two percent of the German population were vaccinated on both days.
This means that 35.9 percent (29.8 million) of people in Germany have been vaccinated at least once and 10.6 percent (8.8 million) are fully protected. According to the RKI, there had already been three days in the past few weeks on which more than a million injection syringes were used before the new daily record. In total, about 38.6 million vaccine doses were administered up to and including Thursday (May 13, 2021).
The vaccination rate varies depending on the federal state. The Saarland has the highest quota of at least first vaccinated persons at 40.4 percent. At 31.1 percent, Saxony is slightly behind the other federal states. In Hesse, the vaccination rate is 35.9 percent.

Corona in Germany: Around a third of people are vaccinated for the first time
Update from Tuesday, May 11th, 2021, 3:50 p.m .: Jens Spahn (CDU) looks forward to the coming months with confidence. The health minister is particularly optimistic about the number of vaccinations against the corona virus. Currently, around a third of Germans have been vaccinated for the first time, the minister said on Deutschlandfunk. The vaccination rate is increasing, the incidence is falling. “If we can hold out together until the end of June, it can be a good summer,” said Spahn. However, even if 40 percent of the population had been vaccinated, there could still be waves.

Update from Monday, May 10th, 2021, 11.00 a.m .: At the weekend, more than 660,000 people in Germany were vaccinated against the corona virus. While 395,604 doses were administered on Saturday, May 8, 2021, a further 268,787 vaccinations were given on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
This means that a total of 7,813,381 people are now fully vaccinated. this corresponds to 9.4% of the total population. A total of 27,286,227 people received at least one vaccine dose. That is not quite a third of the people in Germany (32.8 percent). On Friday, May 7, 2021, 814,037 vaccine doses were administered in Germany.

Corona vaccinations in Germany: Slight decrease – Less than a million vaccinated a day
Update from Friday, May 7th, 2021, 10.30 a.m .: No more contact restrictions and curfews: For those who have been fully vaccinated and those who have recovered from Covid-19, some of the pandemic restrictions are no longer applicable by regulation. Today the Federal Council also agreed. It can then come into force. Vaccinated people can meet again in unlimited numbers. In addition, the quarantine requirement after contact with infected people and the test requirement as a requirement for access to the hairdresser, for example, do not apply to these groups. The regulation should already come into force on the weekend.
This regulation affects 7,360,108 people who have been fully vaccinated to date. That corresponds to 8.8 percent of the population. On May 6, 2021, almost a million vaccine doses were administered again in Germany. The Robert Koch Institute recorded 932,495 corona vaccinations. A total of 26,205,337 people received at least one dose of vaccine.

Update from Thursday, May 6th, 2021, 11.35 a.m .: In Germany, 30.6 percent of people have now received at least one corona vaccination. This emerges from the vaccination rate monitoring carried out by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) (as of May 6, 9.45 a.m.). So far, 8.6 percent of the population has received full vaccination protection.
On Wednesday, around 1.1 million (1,092,765) vaccinations were reported. As Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) announced on Twitter, this was the second day after the start of the vaccination campaign in Germany when the number of vaccine doses administered was seven digits. The highest daily value since the start of the vaccination campaign was reached on April 28, 2021 with 1,116,608 vaccinations.

All in all, all vaccination centers have administered just under 32.6 million doses so far, of which just under 25.5 million for first vaccinations and a good 7.1 million for second vaccinations.
The vaccination rate varies depending on the federal state. The Saarland has the highest quota of at least first vaccinated persons at 34.3 percent. With 27.2 percent, Brandenburg is slightly behind the other federal states. Of around 35.7 million vaccine doses delivered, 91.3 percent have so far been used. The vaccination campaign in Germany started at the end of last year.

Update from Wednesday, May 5th, 2021, 10.30 a.m .: Yesterday, Tuesday (May 4th, 2021), 813,290 vaccine doses were administered in Germany. This means that 6,931,584 people (8.3% of the total population) are fully vaccinated. A total of 24,537,128 people received at least one vaccine dose.

Update from Tuesday, May 4th, 2021, 12:38 p.m .: After a slow start, the corona vaccinations are gradually making better progress in Germany. But there is at least one good news: The vaccination numbers keep increasing every day. 28.2 percent of people in Germany have already received at least one vaccine dose. On Wednesday of last week alone (April 28, 2021), more than a million syringes with vaccines were placed by doctors. In total, a little more than 30.1 million vaccination doses have been administered to date, including 23.5 million first vaccinations and almost 6.7 million second vaccinations. On average, almost eight people are vaccinated every second in Germany. It will probably go even faster if the company doctors are soon allowed to vaccinate against corona.
On Sunday, May 2, 2021, 250,114 vaccine doses were administered in Germany. This means that 6,655,866 people (8.0% of the total population) are fully vaccinated. A total of 23,492,053 people received at least one dose of vaccine.
Vaccination against Corona: Biontech / Pfizer most used vaccine in Germany
However, the vaccination rate varies greatly between the federal states. The Saarland has the highest rate among those who have been vaccinated, i.e. people with at least one primary vaccination, at 31.4 percent. With 27.1 percent, Hessen is now in the middle of the field. Brandenburg has the lowest rate at 25.5 percent.

Also interesting: Of all 35.7 million vaccine doses against the coronavirus delivered to Germany, 84.4 percent were consumed by Sunday (May 2, 2021). Nevertheless, experts are already warning that some vaccines are becoming scarce. The vaccine doses come from Biontech / Pfizer (25,378,274 doses), Astrazeneca (6,959,998 doses), Moderna (3,118,800 doses) and Johnson & Johnson (256,800 doses). Most vaccinations so far have taken place in vaccination centers (24,720,240 doses). The general practitioners injected 5,427,679 cans. (as)
