Cologne (dpa) – The Corona crisis is whirling around the game plan in the basketball Bundesliga. The game scheduled for next Sunday between the Skyliners Frankfurt and EWE Baskets Oldenburg was canceled on Tuesday at the request of Lower Saxony. Because of several corona cases, the Oldenburgers again do not have enough players available.
“The quarantine order for the (regular) players of EWE Baskets Oldenburg, who have become infected with the SARS-CoV-2 pathogen, comes close to the set game date,” says the decision of the BBL. Previously, the Oldenburg games against MLP Academics Heidelberg, Basketball Löwen Braunschweig and medi Bayreuth had already been canceled.
