In the city of Landshut, the corona measures are being tightened due to increasing incidence figures. Distance learning applies to all schools in Landshut from Monday from year 6 upwards – with the exception of final classes and classes from special needs schools.
That emerges from a communication from the city on Saturday afternoon. Primary school and 5th grade students are not affected by the regulation. According to the current status, regular face-to-face lessons will take place for them until the start of the Christmas holidays on Saturday, December 19.
Tighter restrictions on retirement and nursing homes
In addition, stricter visiting restrictions apply to retirement and nursing homes in the city of Landshut from Sunday. Visits are then allowed for a maximum of 30 minutes and only possible at a fixed time. This should be determined by the respective institution in each individual case.
Stricter rules will also come into force for hospitals from Sunday. Every visitor must wear an FFP2 mask. The hospitals can also impose further restrictions.
Ban on selling alcohol “to go”
In addition, a day-long ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages “to go” by restaurants, petrol stations and other sales outlets in the city has been in effect since Saturday. A maximum of 100 people are allowed to attend church services and gatherings of other faith communities – up to 200 people are allowed outdoors.
The number of participants for meetings – such as demonstrations – has been limited to ten since Saturday. In addition, meetings may last a maximum of 60 minutes. A mask requirement and a minimum distance still apply.
Stricter measures by the beginning of January
Landshut’s Lord Mayor Alexander Putz appeals to the common sense: “We will not get this virus under control with rules and bans alone,” it said in a statement. “We need the help of each and every one of us.” The stricter measures are recorded in a general decree of the city with the consent of the government of Lower Bavaria. According to the current status, they should apply until January 5th.
The city of Landshut exceeded the limit of 300 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days on Friday. On Saturday, the seven-day incidence according to the State Office for Health and Food Safety (as of December 12, 8 a.m.) was 314.67.
