Vienna – The simplifications in the two “Corona-Maturas” in 2020 and 2021 have led to significantly higher success rates. According to data from Statistics Austria, around 93.5 percent of the high school graduates passed the school-leaving exam on the main date in 2021, and in 2020 it was even 94.3 percent. For comparison: In the years before the pandemic, it was around 85 percent.
