General practitioners’ practices in Hamburg have to be content with just a few doses of the corona vaccine per week for the time being. They may deviate from the vaccination sequence in exceptional cases.
The Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians wrote to the general practitioners’ practices in Hamburg that there will be no more vaccines for the time being. According to this, every doctor can order 16 to 42 doses. It is still unclear how much of it will actually reach the practices.
Equal parts Biontech and AstraZeneca
What is new is that the AstraZeneca agent will also be included in the delivery in the coming week. The doctors cannot choose that. Anyone who orders vaccine receives roughly equal doses from Biontech and AstraZeneca.

Exceptions to the sequence of vaccinations
The practices should, if possible, administer the vaccines according to the vaccination sequence. However, only as long as it is possible: If you do not reach any more patients in the vaccination groups that have already been called, you can continue with the next group. The doctors are even allowed to deviate from the order completely if the vaccine doses otherwise expire – this must be avoided in any case, according to the circular from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.
Vaccination center at full capacity
The Hamburg vaccination center, however, is working to full capacity. Around 7,000 people have been injected there every day since Easter.
