Due to the corona epidemic, special regulations currently apply in various areas of daily life.

In principle, the town of Gersthofen is affiliated to the district of Augsburg as a municipality belonging to the district. All regulations regarding Corona are controlled by a general decree from these and other higher-level authorities.

Enclosed you will find an overview of all news and current developments in relation to Corona, which are relevant to the city of Gersthofen outside of the district-wide regulations.

Citizens can ask specific questions about Corona directly on 0821/2491-555 (can be reached during the usual opening hours of the town hall).

Due to the adaptation of the Corona Ordinance, free rapid antigen tests for citizens in municipal test centers are now possible again. Therefore, the city of Gersthofen, in cooperation with the Bavarian Red Cross, will again be offering free quick tests in the test center in City-Center Gersthofen from November 24th, 2021. It is currently not necessary to make an appointment. In order to shorten the waiting time, visitors are asked to scan the QR code on one of the displays and register in this way. Alternatively, visitors can also easily register with their health card and ID.

It should be noted that FFP2 masks are mandatory in the test center and in the City-Center Gersthofen.

The test center will be open from November 24th, 2021 on the following days and times:

Wednesday: 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m
Friday: 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m
Sunday: 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m

Please do not come to the test center in City-Center Gersthofen if you:

• Have flu symptoms, particularly a cough or fever
• need an officially ordered PCR test
• are in quarantine or home isolation

In such cases, please contact your family doctor, another testing doctor or, with prior appointment, the test center of the district of Augsburg in Hirblingen.
