The Corona economic aid (bridging, November and December aid) was used to support companies and self-employed people with significant Corona-related sales declines between June 2020 and June 2022. In order to ensure that the funds could be paid out quickly at the time, they were mostly provisionally approved on a forecast basis. From the outset, a subsequent comparison of the forecast figures with the actual sales development and the fixed costs incurred was planned, which was also widely communicated.
In March, the federal and state governments agreed on a final extension of the deadline for preparing the necessary documents for the final invoices until September 30, 2024.
Deadline for submitting final accounts for Corona economic aid ends on September 30, 2024 | Submit missing documents now to avoid negative consequences
Affected companies, which have usually already commissioned third parties to carry out audits such as tax consultants, are asked to submit any missing documents before the deadline. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection explicitly points out that the funding conditions for Corona economic aid stipulate that the provisionally approved applications will be rejected and the Corona economic aid granted will be reclaimed in full if the final accounts are not submitted by the deadline of September 30, 2024. These negative consequences can be avoided by submitting them on time.
