Masks are required indoors, a corona test is recommended. Hotels, campsites, holiday homes and youth hostels are open with certain conditions. A corona test is required upon arrival and twice a week. The outdoor catering is allowed to open. A daily test is mandatory. Level 1 currently applies in the city of Darmstadt, in the districts of Bergstrasse, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Hochtaunus, Marburg-Biedenkopf, Rheingau-Taunus and Vogelsberg and, since Saturday, in the districts of Gießen, Main-Taunus and Odenwald. On Sunday, the Groß-Gerau district, the Lahn-Dill district, the Main-Kinzig district and the Werra-Meißner district will slide into level 1.

What is allowed in level 2 and where does it apply?

The second stage is reached when the incidence remains below 100 for another 14 days or below 50 for five days. Then all interiors of leisure facilities (including theme parks) are allowed to open, a test is recommended. The interiors of restaurants may be used with daily tests.
