One week after the start in the pharmacies, the digital vaccination certificate is now also issued by the vaccination centers. The Lower Saxony Ministry of Health announced on Monday.
The possibility applies to both people who are still being vaccinated and those who have already been vaccinated. The latter can also use the Impfportal Download or inquire via the country’s hotline on (0800) 99 88 66 5 and receive it by post, according to the ministry. The verification takes place via the mobile or landline phone number as well as data that the vaccinated can find in their vaccination pass or in their vaccination certificate. According to the Ministry, the data will be automatically deleted after the QR code has been transmitted.

Procedure in vaccination centers adapted
All people who still have immunization in the vaccination center ahead of them can obtain proof of this directly at the vaccination center. The code for the digital vaccination certificate can be printed out and given on request, according to the ministry. The procedure in the vaccination centers has been adapted for this.

A maximum of 400 requests per second is possible
According to the information, a total of up to 400 certificates per second can be generated and accessed in parallel in the vaccination centers and in the vaccination portal. If there are more calls, problems could arise, the ministry admits. In this case, those affected should repeat the process.
Exhibition also planned in medical practices
The digital vaccination certificate is a voluntary addition to the still valid yellow paper vaccination booklet. Since mid-June, fully vaccinated people have been able to have it displayed in selected pharmacies, read in the required QR code using the Corona warning app or the Covpass app and save it on their mobile phone. Around 1,800 pharmacies took part at the start. The digital vaccination certificates should also be issued in medical practices.
