Corona crisis: WHO reports record of new infections

The number of reported daily Corona-New infections is according to the World Health Organization WHO climbed to a new record high. 189,000 new cases were registered worldwide within 24 hours, the WHO announced on Sunday evening.

The rise is also at a record high in some countries. Brazil and the USA once again stand out among the countries with a particularly high number of new infections. According to the WHO, 46,860 new cases were recorded in Brazil. In the United States, there were 44,458. India had the third highest increase in the most recent table worldwide with 19,906 cases.

According to the WHO table, Germany is significantly more positive with 256 registered new infections within one day. The figure for Italy is 175, for Spain it is 569. In Great Britain, at least 890 people contracted the corona virus within 24 hours.

The WHO has repeatedly insisted that the pandemic has lost none of its dynamism. According to its count, the organization expects to soon exceed the ten million mark. Sunday night’s table shows 9.84 million corona cases worldwide.
