Nowhere else in America do employees return to their offices as slowly as in New York.

Yawning emptiness on the Brooklyn Bridge: Only 10 percent of all New Yorkers have returned to the office from the home office.

The city that never sleeps dawns. Winter is arriving in New York, and the mood is frosty enough anyway. The coronavirus has changed the cityscape: the streets are empty, shops are empty. It is uncomfortably quiet where people usually work.
