The United Kingdom is under the spell of the ‘pingdemic’. In a week, more than 600,000 Britons received a notification from their corona app – a ‘ping’ – that they have been near an infected person and must self-isolate. The consequences are clearly visible in the streets and the store shelves. ‘We are very concerned,’ said Minister of Economy Kwasi Kwarteng.
