Corona antibody study of the Helmholtz Institute has started in Freiburg – southwest

How common are antibodies against Sars-CoV-2 in people in Freiburg and the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district? This is determined by a study that has now started.

The Helmholtz Center for Infection Research (HZI) wants to find out throughout Germany how many people have already contracted Covid-19. Up to 3000 randomly selected people from Freiburg and the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district will be interviewed and given a blood sample. The head of the study, Gérard Krause, is satisfied with the start of this week in the Freiburg city hall. The first results could be published in autumn.
