Companies still have until the end of September to submit their final accounts for Corona aid they have received. Otherwise they will have to pay everything back. Thousands of these invoices are still missing in Berlin.

In Berlin, almost 20,000 final accounts are still missing from companies that were Corona crisis. They still have until the end of the month to submit this, as the Senate Department for Economic Affairs announced again. “If the final invoice is not submitted or not submitted on time, the entire subsidy must be reclaimed.”

The applications for Corona aid, which were submitted to the state via the company’s own tax advisor, were often approved on the basis of sales forecasts or projected costs. In the final accounts, the companies must now provide information about the actual sales figures and fixed costs.

These invoices are then checked by tax consultants, auditors or lawyers, for example. The deadline for submitting invoices has been extended several times and will finally end on September 30th.
