The seven-day incidence

The seven-day incidence describes the number of infected people per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days and is decisive for tightening or relaxing corona protective measures. The goal is a value of 50 in order to be able to trace the close contacts of infected people again.

In the current Corona Protection Ordinance, it has been specified that both the Saxon and Dresden incidence must be below 100 on five consecutive days in order to be able to lift the curfew. If the requirements are met, the city administration must decide whether it actually wants to make use of this option. She is not forced to do so if she considers the curfew to be necessary to further contain the pandemic.

The seven-day incidence fell slightly again on Tuesday. It is now included 61,4 and has been below the Germany-wide average for days. It is currently 72.8.

It happens that Covid-19-related death reports are sent in aggregate to the health department, which in turn increases leads to a high number of reports in one day. ” That is why the city shows the days on which people actually died on its dashboard.
