Glass is glass, and no matter how resistant it is to drops, if you’re unlucky it’s still going to break.
I also prefer Corning to focus more on scratches than knocks, because when I look at how many scratches some people I know’s phones have (more modern devices with GG5 and newer, no screen protector) you’re a bit shocked.
Meanwhile, my partner’s previous device has 1 micro-scratch that you only see in good light at certain viewing angles and that device had GG3 which was not used sparingly.
it’s actually quite absurd that nowadays a glass screen protector (depending on the brand) can often resist scratches better than the glass of a phone itself, while the latter is much more expensive to replace
Well, there will probably be people who say “I have zero scratches”, then I say “you don’t see them” or “you are very lucky”.
Kind of 50/50 which one it is.
