The Junta de Andalucía has confirmed this Friday the mayor of San Jose del Valle, Antonio González, that a mass screening in the locality on January 22. This measure is one of the most repeated requests by González in recent days after the increase in coronavirus infections in the town. In yesterday’s report, Thursday, San José del Valle touched the maximum rate of incidence of the virus and González fears that it will increase due to the number of tests that residents continue to carry out.
In the absence of confirmation, the mayor has advanced on social networks that the screening will be carried out at about 450 vallenses (figure that is not yet closed), and that they will have to go to the sports center to carry out the test if they receive the call from the SAS with the summons.
Last Tuesday the mayor asked the neighbors self-confine for the record of Covid-19 infections. “This is serious. It has been since March 14, but it is that we have never had these figures so high“said González, who has insisted on the daily “responsibility and common sense” to stop the advance of the pandemic in the town.
The territorial delegate of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, Isabel Paredes, yesterday held a meeting by videoconference with the municipal representatives of the Jerez and Costa Noroeste region, where González conveyed the village needs.
