Schedule of Events
The relics will be arriving at the Cathedral of St. Mary and St. Anne at 4 PM on October 30, where public veneration will commence shortly after from 4:20 PM to 6:45 PM. Following this, a concelebrated Mass led by Bishop Fintan Gavin will take place at 7 PM, with further veneration available from 8 PM to 10 PM.
On October 31, veneration will continue at the Cathedral from 6 AM to 12 PM, followed by Mass at 10 AM. Afterward, the relics will journey to the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Clonakilty, arriving around 2 PM. Public veneration in Clonakilty will occur from 2:30 PM to 7:45 PM, culminating in another Mass at 8 PM. The church will remain open for additional veneration from 9 PM to 10 PM that evening.
On November 1, the final opportunity for public veneration at the Clonakilty church will take place from 7 AM to 10 AM, concluding with a Mass at 10 AM before the relics leave for Athlone.
Bringing Petitions to the Shrine
Attendees are encouraged to bring their petitions, which will be placed in containers at both churches and then transported to the Lourdes shrine. This unique aspect of the visitation allows individuals to express their hopes and desires, fostering a deep personal connection with the sacred place.
