Christopher O’Sullivan, Cork South West TD, tied the knot with his soulmate, Sarah Redmond, at Fernhill House Hotel and Gardens in his hometown of Clonakilty. The couple had been in a relationship for several years before announcing their engagement on social media in March of last year. The proposal took place in Glengarriff, West Cork, a moment that delighted their friends and families. O’Sullivan stated that Sarah, who works as an in-house solicitor with an aviation company, has always been supportive of him, especially during tough times. The politician noted that his story with Sarah is special because they were together years ago but didn’t work out due to distance. He expressed deep gratitude for having a second chance, adding that he always knew they were meant to be together. 200 guests, including best man Tom Ryan and bridesmaids Cathy Cowan, Aisling Gannon, Louisa Bourke, and Claire O’Hanlon, attended the event. O’Sullivan, who replaced his father on Cork County Council in 2007, served as mayor of the council from 2019 to 2020 before his election to the Dáil.
