A father and son from Kerry have been accused of trespassing, assault and attempted theft of a phone after allegedly ejecting tenants from a house they owned in Cork. The incident is said to have occurred on August 11, 2022, when Daniel Lynch and his son Donal reportedly changed the locks on the premises and allegedly assaulted a male and female tenant. The pair also attempted to steal a mobile phone from the male tenant. Sergeant John Kelleher outlined the allegations at Cork District Court, and Judge Olann Kelleher accepted jurisdiction to deal with the case, which has been adjourned until May 5. The Director of Public Prosecutions indicated that the prosecution considered it a suitable case to be dealt with at district court level.
