Coritiba vs. Cruzeiro Match: Widespread Turmoil and Fan Violence on the Field

The fight happened after Robson scored Coxa’s goal, in the 45th minute of the second half. Soon afterwards, the fans cruise left the visitors’ area and invaded the lawn. Coxa fans also entered the field.

In the images, it is possible to see the moment that fans jump over advertising boards and clash. The fighting only stopped with the arrival of the Military Police Shock Battalion (PM-PR).

Several sneakers were lost on the lawn. The advertising boards were vandalized.

The referee waited around 25 minutes and decided that the match would be resumed. The game stopped 45 minutes into the second half and had six minutes of stoppage time.

According to the reporter Flavio Darin, in the Premiere broadcast, the gates of Vila Capanema were closed. The fans still in the stands watched the final minutes. Those who left did not return.

The PM-PR carried out a sweep around the stadium to ensure safety in the remaining minutes of the match. The game ended 1-0 for Coritiba.

The director criticized the structure of the stadium and called for severe punishment for those involved.
