Corinthians Negotiations with 20-Year-Old Defender Robert Renan Hindered by Russian Team, Inter Competes for Signing

O Corinthians no longer counts on the signing of 20-year-old defender Robert Renan.

The negotiations to have him on loan with Zenit, from Russia, were progressing well, but the Russians are not giving up on a short transfer, for six months, to eventually negotiate him in the mid-year window. Timão only agrees to receive him on loan until December 2024.

O Corinthians remains in the market looking for a defender. The board did not renew Gil’s contract and will also not have Bruno Méndez, who had a contract renewal offer in hand since April, but will not continue negotiations.
