On my skis, I’m in a totally different world: being at the start, feeling the adrenaline rising and going as fast as possible, I love it. And you know, I can be very different from the nice, shy girl you see (laughs). She continues: “In sport you have to be a bit selfish; I didn’t have that before. It was an apprenticeship. From now on, I trust myself and I look less at others, that helps me a lot.
This is precisely what intrigues us! What is this selfishness? “It’s finding the answers within myself and stopping expecting too much from others. After the super-G in Beijing, for example, where everything seemed to go wrong for me – the snow, the equipment, etc. – I turned to my service guy, André, asking him what to do.
