President Alberto Fernández announced this Friday that five cities in the country will return to a stricter quarantine starting next Monday, given the deepening of infections in recent weeks
These are the cities of Tartagal, in Salta; La Rioja capital and Chamical; Santiago del Estero capital and La Banda.

The Government explained that in recent weeks these areas entered a dangerous contagion curve and the quarantine must be closed to prevent the system from being saturated.
In this way, these cities will catch up with the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA); Ledesma, Manuel Belgrano, El Carmen and San Pedro (Jujuy); Río Gallegos (Santa Cruz), and Río Grande (Tierra del Fuego).
Given the doubts that were generated by the announcement, it should be clarified that the province of Córdoba is not included among the red zones and, therefore, will continue in the current phase.
However, this does not mean that mayors decide to go back to the strictest stage of quarantine due to a health issue in their city, town or commune.
