The Cordial Women’s Football International Tournament has successfully completed its third edition, under the leadership of the Cordial Hotels & Resort hotel chain in Gran Canaria, in collaboration with the Mogán City Council and the host participation of the CD Femarguín women’s football team.
Held at the Arguineguín soccer field on August 3, 4, and 5, this friendly tournament has brought together notable teams: the Celtic Football Club, the local team CD Femarguín, and UDG Tenerife.
In a day of intense confrontations, the match between UDG Tenerife and Celtic Football Club ended in a 2-2 tie, finally being resolved in favor of the Canarian team in a penalty shootout.
“Our motivation for the Cordial Women’s Football International Tournament lies in our commitment to the advancement of women’s sport, locally and internationally, and these three days have been an absolute triumph,” said Nicolás Villalobos, General Director of Cordial Hotels & Resorts.
