Things could get quieter for Cora Schumacher in the near future: She announced on Sunday that she wanted to take a break from Instagram and the like. The reason for this is the severe hostility that she has received in the past few days after a public exchange of blows with her son David, 22.

In her Instagram story Cora Schumacher first highlighted a particularly ugly hater comment under one of her photos and shortly afterwards published a short, written statement. It says: “Due to the hate messages that increased after my son’s statement – including death threats and calls for suicide – I am withdrawing from social networks for the time being and have closed the comment function.” She further emphasized: “These attacks are unbearable.”
