It all started last night around 2am when the police received a report of a possible home burglary. On the spot, officers saw bags with packages of drugs in them.
A 34-year-old man from Utrecht who was present in the house at that time was immediately arrested. A security unit was deployed to stand around the house. “Extensive searches have been made in the home, finding a large amount of narcotics and a large amount of cash. These have been confiscated, ”said the police in a message early in the evening. The mayor of Utrecht has decided to close the house urgently.
According to a photographer, the money and drugs were removed around 2:30 pm accompanied by the heavily armed police team. The criminal investigation department is investigating the case and does not rule out multiple arrests.
