Copioli confirmed president of the Italian motorcycle federation

With a success rate (8,138 votes, equal to 96.8% of those entitled) that not even Marc Marquez of ten seasons ago, Giovanni Copioli has been confirmed president of the Italian Motorcycle Federation: it is the third consecutive mandate for the 63-year-old lawyer from Romagna, who in recent days in Palma de Mallorca had also been confirmed in the role of vice-president of the International Federation. “Excited” by the result, Copioli said that “the objective will still be to never stop, and to look at ever new challenges to make motorcycling grow even more. A result that can only be achieved through teamwork, which is why I am also deeply satisfied with the election of the new Federal Council”.

The ten members of the new federal council are the vice-presidents Giuseppe Bartolucci and Rocco Lopardo, then Letizia Marchetti, Francesco Mezzasalma, Lorena Sangiorgi, Armando Sponga, Mario Volpe (affiliates’ share), Alessandro Maccioni, Francesca Nocera (fired workers’ share), Raffaele Prisco (technical quota); Francesco Brandi confirmed as president of the Board of Auditors. During the elective assembly they were awarded Giacomo Agostini together with the enduro champions Andrea Verona and Manuel Verzeroli, ea Davide TardozziDucati team manager, representing the Borgo Panigale company.
