DISA Copi Sport has unveiled its team for the 2020 season, which highlights the new Ford Fiesta R5 of the Senior Team formed by Enrique Cruz and Yeray Mújica, who will once again fight for the absolute title at the wheel of their new vehicle. In addition, it will focus all its efforts on the Autonomous Asphalt Rally Championship promoting gender equality and the talent of young promises in the motor world.
This year, the new pilot Arminda Falcón, selected for a 3-year scholarship from more than 38 candidates interested in training within DISA Copi Sport, joins. Arminda will have Rayco Hernández as co-driver, who has extensive experience in all types of motorsport competition.
A team full of youth in which we will also enjoy the debut of Christian Morales, winner of the last edition of the Tu Club DISA Copi Sport Pilot School, with Mario Quintero as co-driver.
It is worth highlighting the Junior Team, led by Raúl Capdevila, who will face the Asphalt Rally Regional with the new Ford Fiesta R4, which was also presented today. Raúl will team up with David Rivero, who returns to DISA Copi Sport as co-driver.
“From the DISA Group we are very excited about this new stage that opens for the DISA Copi Sport team, with Enrique Cruz and his new Ford Fiesta R5, the incorporation of Arminda through this training scholarship, with which we continue to bet on equality gender in sport. We are also looking forward to seeing our promising youngsters drive: Raúl at the helm of the Junior Team with his new Ford R4 and Christian, our winner of the Driver’s School, ”said DISA Group Brand Manager Loli Saavedra.
The team’s director, Fernando Capdevila, described this season as “a new season that for everyone’s reasons will be different from the previous ones. Thanks to DISA, Ford and Archiauto, in addition to Loro Parque in the case of Raúl, we have been able to incorporate into our workshop two state-of-the-art vehicles such as the Fiesta R4 and R5 and we are going to concentrate all our efforts on supporting youth ”.
In addition, he added that “all the boys have a new car so our objective will be none other than to enjoy and make the fans enjoy themselves above any other sporting result.”
In short, a season loaded with both youth and experience, which was presented at the new Archiauto Ford facilities in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria through a live communication platform, thus adapting to the new normal and “keeping everything now security, which is always a priority for the DISA Group ”, commented Loli Saavedra.
