In Ukraine, a 15-kopeck coin is sold for UAH 26,000. By itself, such a denomination is considered experimental and rare. But due to additional features: the obverse is turned 180 degrees from the reverse – its cost has increased significantly.
This follows from the auction data Violity. Note, 15 kopecks produced in 1992 cost about UAH 15 thousand. Those that have additional features (such as turning the reverse and obverse) can cost significantly more.
Earlier, a coin in denomination of 15 kopecks was sold at a price of 1.1 thousand dollars (29.9 thousand UAH) at auction.
“The coin is struck with stamps, which were previously struck without a blank. Therefore, the obverse and reverse of other sides are visible on the coin. These defective stamps are known, they are a guarantor of authenticity,” the discussion says.
As previously wrote OBOZREVATEL, in Ukraine since January 21, the National Bank put into circulation a commemorative coin with a face value of 20 UAH… It is dedicated to the Ukrainian poetess Lesya Ukrainka. Money can be purchased at the National Bank.
As previously reported OBOZREVATEL, in Ukraine for some coins in denomination of 25 kopecks are ready to pay 40 times more than face value – from 1000 UAH. A special coin can end up in anyone’s wallet or piggy bank.
