The CBF released, this Friday (5), the technical documents for the 2024 edition of the Brazil’s Cup. The entity published the basic table, the specific regulations and the general action plan for the competition. The expected start date is February 21st.
Known as the most democratic competition in Brazil, the Copa do Brasil brings together 92 clubs from all regions of the country.
The first phase of the Copa do Brasil is scheduled for the 21st and 28th of February. At this stage, 80 clubs compete to qualify in single games for the second phase. The second phase will follow the same competition format. The round-trip games start from the third phase of the competition.
Basic table dates by phases:
– First phase: February 21st or 28th
– Second phase: March 6th or 13th
– Third phase: May 1st and 22nd
– Round of 16: July 31st and August 7th
– Quarter finals: August 28th and September 12th
– Semifinals: October 2nd and 17th
– Final: 3rd and 10th November
For being placed fifth in the Brazilian Championship, which gives him a place in the Pre-Libertadores, the Botafogo enters directly into the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, with its debut expected in May.
