Brazil advanced to the Copa America semi-finals by beating Chile 1-0 on Friday and will face Peru for a place in the final.
Barely entering the field, midfielder Lucas Paqueta gave the victory to the Seleçao with a goal, in the 47th minute.
The meeting took place in Rio de Janeiro.
The Chileans were unable to equalize despite Gabriel Jesus being sent off in the 48th minute for a foul on Eugenio Mena.
Brazil will meet Peru on Monday in Rio, just like in the final of the competition in 2019.
Peru eliminates Paraguay on penalties
Peru is the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Copa America – which takes place in Brazil – after eliminating Paraguay on Friday after a penalty shootout (4-3).
Miguel Trauco scored the decisive penalty for Peru.

Just before, Peruvian goalkeeper Pedro Gallese parried Alberto Espinola’s shot.
Paraguay captain Gustavo Gomez opened the scoring in the 11th minute, but Gianluca Lapadula scored twice (21st, 40th) to put Peru in the lead.
At the end of regulation time, the two teams were tied 3-3.
In the semi-finals, Peru will meet the winner of the match between Brazil and Chile, which is played in Rio de Janeiro on the night of Friday to Saturday.
Gianluca Lapadula ensured his team were ready regardless of the opponent. Confronting “Chile or Brazil is the same thing,” he said.
The quarter-finals will come to an end on Saturday after the encounter between Argentina and Ecuador and the match between Uruguay and Colombia.
