Uruguay star Edinson Cavani didn’t miss his chance on the penalty spot to give his country a narrow 1-0 victory over Paraguay in the Copa America’s final group stage game.
Thanks to this victory, Uruguay finished second in Group A behind Argentina, also victorious on Monday.
Uruguay will now face Colombia in the quarter-finals.
Paraguay, who did not record any shot on target in this match, still finished third in the group and will be in the knockout phase.
The Paraguayans will face the Peruvians in a duel to access the quarterfinal.
