Copa America: Chile breaks health bubble by bringing in a hairdresser and prostitutes

Chile’s football team, which is currently participating in the Copa America, is under fire for having broken the imposed health bubble.

The Federation and the technical staff indicated on Sunday that there had indeed been a violation of the sanitary bubble of the delegation after the entry, according to her, unauthorized by a hairdresser who, despite a PCR test negative, “should not have come into contact with the players,” said the Federation in a statement posted on social networks.

But, according to some local media, it would not only be the arrival of a hairdresser but also a few prostitutes. Several players would be affected.

Still, the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) wanted to open a disciplinary file with the local Federation for non-compliance with strict health protocols, while Brazil, host country of the Copa America, is the second country in hardest hit in the world by the Covid-19 pandemic, with half a million deaths since Saturday. A fine of 25,000 euros has already been imposed on Chile pending possible other sanctions in this case which has not finished talking about it.

The Chileans, Copa America winners in 2015 and 2016, drew against Argentina (1-1) before beating Bolivia (1-0). They face Uruguay on Monday evening.
