The Atlas Lions will join the Copa America 2024 under two conditions, namely: the competition must take place in the territory of the United States. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) thought of the large Moroccan community in the USA which could be of considerable support to the national team.
The second condition as logical as the first, the 2024 African Cup of Nations (CAN) tournament must not coincide with the course of the Copa America. Obviously, one cannot be both in the oven and at the mill.

It is not known whether Morocco will be the first African country to participate in this tournament, but according to the information reported by the national media, the FRMF has set these two conditions, which suggests that there is a strong probability that the lions will go there.
Note that the Copa America competition will take place in 2024 between June and July. The Atlas lions have already faced two South American teams in friendly matches: Paraguay and Chile. Colombia is scheduled for March with the likely participation of AC Milan midfielder Brahim Diaz.
