Coordination of educational development – catching up after Corona, digitization and family

The following full-time position is to be filled in the school and child day care department (40) of the city of Bottrop as soon as possible – in the education office:

(salary group 11 TVöD-V)

This is initially a temporary project position until December 31, 2023.
The average regular weekly working time is currently 39.0 hours.

Pandemic-related learning deficits, psychosocial impairments and, in particular, learning deficits in basic skills throughout the course of education endanger meaningful follow-up learning. Therefore, a locally integrated and long-term support is necessary, which is coordinated in the sense of the common goal of closing the learning gaps, the development of digital competence and strengthening the family as an educational partner. Tailor-made offers to contain educational deficits due to the consequential damage caused by the pandemic must be viewed, bundled and brought to the addressees.

The objectives of the activity are:

  • Development and conception of measures to contain pandemic-related learning deficits,
  • coordination of all persons involved,
  • Control of family support and educational support.

The area of ​​responsibility essentially includes the following activities:

  • Conception of comprehensive measures and development of development steps to close learning deficits caused by the pandemic on the identified topics as well as content support of the funding programs,
  • Development of cooperation with various other social service providers, cooperation partners and educational institutions,
  • Development of a common orientation to promote media use and media competence in Bottrop,
  • Bundling of school and extracurricular offers for media competence on the basis of the media competence framework,
  • Networking of educational actors within the framework of promoting media competence/progress of digitization,
  • Organization and content planning of events (media day, media cafe, workshop initiatives, etc.),
  • strategic development of the affected networks,
  • Support for schools and providers in the implementation of the above topics,
  • Support for the coordination of family primary school centers,
  • Support for the cooperation with the actors in the family primary school center as well as regular exchange.

Applicants are expected to:

  • Qualification for the general administrative service of career group 2, first entry office (Diplom-Verwaltungswirt/in (HSPV)) or Bachelor of Laws (HSPV or successful completion of the administration course II (administration specialist) or a university degree in a field related to described range of tasks (preferably educational or educational sciences),
  • several years of professional experience in the job-related areas.

Desirable are:

  • very good verbal and written communication skills,
  • to work in a highly solution-oriented manner,
  • strategic control skills,
  • independent and responsible action,
  • flexibility in the division of work,
  • very good organizational skills.
