Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan conveyed several reasons why he finally gave support to one of the Presidential Candidates, namely Prabowo Subianto. What is Luhut’s reason?
According to him, only Prabowo is willing to continue the program that President Joko Widodo has implemented. He conveyed this in the YouTube Political Show Podcast CNN Indonesia “Opung Luhut is Back”.
“From the start, I supported Pak Prabowo with Gibran. From the start, they have legally declared progress,” said Luhut on CNN Indonesia’s YouTube account, quoted Friday (9/2/2024).
Luhut emphasized that the reason he supported Prabowo was because he had the courage to continue President Jokowi’s program.
“Actually, it’s simple, what Pak Jokowi has achieved, I talked about it on my Instagram 2030 income Our per capita is US$10,000. We may have 3 trillion GDP but we have to grow 6 percent and that can be achieved without any problem. “I saw that the many times we met with Pak Prabowo, he really agreed with Pak Jokowi’s program,” he said.
Luhut emphasized that it would be quite difficult if the new president erased old policies and created new ones. Luhut made the analogy that Indonesia’s condition would be like a yo-yo or ups and downs.
“Because I said this, Mr. Prabowo, if you make a new program, it will take 4 years, Sir, then we will start. You lose time, you know when you want it to be done. This makes this country (like) a yo-yo. I see that but people may not see that. We “I want to find someone who will continue and perfect Pak Jokowi’s program,” he said.
So why doesn’t Luhut support Ganjar and Anies? Luhut also opened his voice.
“He (Prabowo) mapped me because I invited the others to meet once and met again. Ganjar, I met him and he was here, yes, Anies, he wanted to meet but he didn’t, that’s all,” answered Luhut.
