In consultation with the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FAVV), Coöperatie Hoogstraten removes packaged pepper mixes in three colors from the store shelves. This is necessary because a too high level of crop protection agent residue has been found.
It concerns the pepper mix of the Flandria brand, which is sold through Carrefour stores. The Hoogstraten Peppers brand, which is sold through several retail chains, is also being recalled.
Anyone who has already bought one of these brands between 11 and 18 August will be asked not to consume the vegetables and to return them to the store. The lottery numbers can be found on the website of the FASFC.(ram)
