CoolJazz announces return in 2023 without EDP – Meios & Publicidade

By Pedro Durães on August 1, 2022

“It is time for renewal”, anticipates Karla Campos, director of Live Experiences, promoter and owner of the CoolJazz brand, a festival that will return to its original format in 2023 after a decade with EDP as naming sponsor. “The years with EDP were excellent and I am very grateful for the partnership, however it is time for new directions, new partnerships, new challenges, to think about improving more, always bearing in mind the public that is with us every year and is for the public fortunately demanding that we have to continue to work and improve”, says the official in a statement announcing that the 2023 edition will mark the change in the festival’s image and the return to the original name.

“Having started this festival that is so particularly dear to me, I want to have a new strength to work in the coming times”, says Karla Campos at a time when the 17th edition of the event comes to an end, where they will have passed, according to the organization, around 43 thousand people, the last one sponsored by EDP, a brand that has been progressively leaving the music field and will not renew its support for the festival. The energetic, it should be remembered, had a connection with CoolJazz since 2009, having assumed the status of naming sponsor from 2012.

For the 2023 edition, under the Cool by Nature signature, Live Experiences sets out as objectives “to work more deeply on the foundations of the festival, which translate into consistency of eclectic taste together with the ‘cool’ aspect provided by the event’s environment, thus constituting the festival’s trademarks”. “The renovation involves the festival’s image, but also specific offers to the public, such as the novelty of family or corporate cabins to enjoy the festival as a group”, adds the festival promoter.
