Dubai: Dubai’s tourism booms with ‘World’s Coolest Winter’ campaign Officials said hotel income and tourist flow have increased. Through the third edition of the campaign, the total hotel revenue in the country has increased to 180 crore dirhams and the number of domestic tourists has increased to 14 lakhs.
Last year the total revenue from hotels was 150 crore dirhams. There was a 20 percent increase in hotel revenue and an 8 percent increase in the number of tourists.
UAE aims to improve the tourism sector in the UAE. The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched the World’s Coolest Winter campaign last December. The campaign hashtag was used in more than 18,000 photos and videos across social media. It is estimated that the campaign ideas have reached 19 crore people.
