For example, Fortune brand oil at Alfamart in the Ciledug area, Tangerang, increased from IDR 48,500 per two liters to IDR 49,500 for the same size.
However, for the Sunco brand, it fell by Rp1,000 from Rp52,500 per two liters to Rp51,500 per two liters.
“Yes, it goes up and down by Rp. 1,000, not necessarily,” said an Alfamart staff to CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (25/4).
The same thing was conveyed by Ayu, an Indomaret staff on Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Ciledug.
He stated that volatile cooking oil prices could go up or down in the range of IDR 1,000 per two liters.
“Yes, I didn’t really pay attention but it did change, it could go up or down, changing prices,” Ayu said while tidying up the trade shelves.
