Cookie Boss Admits Accelerated Plans to Open Fake Pop-Ups in Australia

The boss of a cult US biscuit shop that made headlines after an unauthorized pop-up in Sydney has admitted the saga has accelerated opening plans in Australia.

Jason McGowan, CEO and co-founder of Crumbl, arrived in Australia yesterday to scout locations to open the first branches of the celebrity-favorite brand.

“We have plans to go international, but the amazing response from all Australians put our plans at the top of the list.” McGowan told 9news.com.au.

McGowan said the company does not plan to take action against the people behind the unauthorized pop-up shop, which was selling imported biscuits to fans in Bondi.

“We just want to make sure that people get really good quality Crumbl and that our brand is well represented.” McGowan said.

“Obviously we want to make sure we protect our brand and that people receive the product and quality that Crumbl is known for in the United States and Canada.

“We are very excited by the response from everyone here in Australia.”

He said the company would consider opening a store initially and ask Australians to vote on where it should be.

He admitted he had been wandering around Bondi to see if the beachside suburb might be a possibility.

The company works with franchisees in its 1,000 stores in Canada and the United States.

McGowan said he would meet with potential franchise partners in Australia.

He said the fact that the cookies are made fresh in stores in front of customers made them stand out.

“You can actually see them cracking the eggs, mixing the dough,” he said.

However, fans still have a little time to wait, with the goal of opening stores in six to 12 months.

The company is famous for collaborations with celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as its exotic and ever-changing flavors, like key lime pie and caramel apple.
