Convicted in the United States, Gal Vallerius, a drug lord, will serve his sentence in France

American justice has condemned him, but it is in France that Gal Vallerius will serve his sentence. This Franco-Israeli, sentenced to 20 years in prison in the United States for drug trafficking and money laundering, is due to arrive at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport on Friday, BFMTV.com learned from a judicial source confirming information from Telegram.

Gal Vallerius was convicted in October 2018 in the United States for selling drugs on the dark web where he was known under the pseudonym “OxyMonster”. Considered by US authorities to be one of the drug lords on the dark web, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison after a guilty plea.

Arrested in 2017

Installed in Plusquellec in the Côtes-d’Armor, for several years, the man, now 38, worked at the illegal Dream Market supermarket, where he sold oxycontin, a powerful opioid analgesic whose usage is diverted in the United States. And the use of which causes many fatal overdoses.

Wanted by the DEA, the US federal drug agency, Gal Vallerius was arrested in August 2017 at the airport in Atlanta, Georgia. The latter had just landed in the United States to participate in the World Beard and Mustache Championships. The American authorities had learned of his arrival on social networks.

Gal Vallerius recently applied to serve his sentence in France. According to bilateral agreements between countries, any French national can make this request. The request had been accepted and the former trafficker is due to land on Friday. He will be presented to a magistrate from the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office, competent for Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, who will have to serve him his sentence.
