The Dakar Court of Appeal has just sentenced the singer, Thione Ballago Seck, to a 3-year prison sentence, including 8 months in prison. Pursued with Alaye Djite, Thione took 3 years including 8 months firm with a fine of 5 million CFA francs and a ban on all banking activity for a period of one year. Thione Seck who has already served her Thione will not go to prison

During the trial, lawyers had argued this exception, rejected by President Chimère. Castigating this position of the judge, the defense, provided by Mes Ousmane Sèye, Bamba Cisse, Abdou Dialy Kane, Alassane Cisse … denounced the fact that what was described as counterfeit notes were only cut green paper. Pleading for release, they supported the position of their client who said he had been defrauded by a promoter for several concerts in Europe. But the court did not follow and convicted. Thione has already served this firm sentence during pre-trial detention. And therefore will not return to prison. A boon for the singer and his entourage.
