It is not easy for retail chains in the Czech Republic to please their customers. They are partly to blame. For a long time, they have been feeding the Czech consumer relatively low-quality food, for which they often charge outrageously high prices. It is therefore not surprising that people increasingly go shopping in cheaper Poland or to get to know better Germany.
Perfect nowadays
But the truth is that every now and then the Czech retail chain also succeeds. This is how Lidl scored a few years ago with boxes that it fills with fruit and vegetables that would no longer fit on the shelves, and sells them for a few crowns. And Albert has now prepared a novelty that he has been running for some time in his foreign stores, for example in his home country of Holland.
It is such a success among customers that it has also come to the Czech Republic. What’s going on? They are nothing more than boxes in which you will find the necessary ingredients for cooking a certain dish. “I saw it today in Alberta for the first time and I’m excited. I no longer have to choose vegetables for each dish in a complicated way, but I get everything in one box,” says customer Kristýna from Prague for the AAzdravi.cz server. It is said that she has already tried three pre-prepared ingredients in this way.
This is exactly a demonstration of how a small thing can make shopping more enjoyable. Of course, Albert has been offering a variety of ready meals for years, which you only need to put in the microwave and you can eat. But those who have ever tasted them will surely agree that it is not worth anything, similar to other chains.

Everyone chooses
Here, however, it is about real cooking that you do at home, but thanks to the boxes with the basic ingredients, you simplify and speed up the shopping, which definitely counts. You don’t have to look for individual things and you have everything together in the necessary quantity. So, in theory, you can also save, because people tend to buy ingredients for a recipe often unnecessarily, and then throw them away.
In this way, you can buy ingredients for various world-famous dishes such as lasagna, couscous, burrito, piri piri chicken or moussaku. But the truth is that so far the boxes contain mainly vegetables and sometimes other durable products for food preparation. The rest still needs to be bought.

“At first I cheered. Then in the store she read what I had to buy. I usually have the basic vegetables offered there at home because I cook every day. And paying 100 CZK for this is simply too much. Good idea but not for everyone” said Mrs. Alena for a change, which was a high price for the given service. On the other hand, few people realize how expensive everything is today and that the few ingredients can add up to such a sum. Despite the fact that the boxes are often on sale, so you can get them cheaper.
