The Brazilian defender received two offers this summer, one from England’s Nottingham Forest and the second from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahly, and Roma has not yet decided whether to accept or reject either of them together.
Ibanez published several photos of his career with Rome, but in black and white, which was interpreted by the Italian fans that the player had already made his decision and would leave the Italian capital, as he hinted with his non-colored photos to consider his period with Rome as part of the past.
The Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport, indicated that the closest is the transfer of Ibanez to the English club, noting that he had previously submitted an offer of 25 million euros to join the player, but Rome responded by requesting an additional 5 million, while the defender would receive 4-5 million euros annually.
Al-Ahly made a late offer to include the player, but expectations indicate that it exceeds the English offer financially, which the Al-Jeddawi club hopes will be convincing Rome and its player to change their destination from England to Saudi Arabia.
The 24-year-old Brazilian defender joined Roma in January 2020 from the Italian club Atlanta, participating since that time in 149 official matches in various competitions.
