“Xolidayboy” or his real name, Ivan Minayev, was presented with documents at an airport in southern Russia on Monday.
Shortly after, he appeared to have passed out during a show in the southern city of Stavropol.
Minayev was born in the port city of Sevastopol in Crimea, which was occupied by Russia in 2014. It is reported that he moved to Moscow in 2020.
“Xolidayboy” is known for his public image, which, unusually for men in Russia, involves wearing makeup and painting his nails.
He was taken to hospital after the collapse and is reportedly not in serious condition.
A day before the subpoena was issued, Yekaterina Mizulina, head of the Russian Safe Internet League, publicly objected to the “pro-Ukrainian” videos posted by Minayev on social media. The clips showed “Xolidayboy” calling himself “Ukrainian” and saying that the annexation of Crimea had not improved life for its people.
Mizulina has criticized and threatened various other Russian celebrities and bloggers accused of anti-war views.
