The absence of international goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais from Al Hilal Saudi Club training sparked controversy in the Saudi sports street, amid varying questions about his future with the team.
Al-Owais has a valid contract with Al-Hilal until June 2025, but he has not appeared as a regular starter since his arrival to the team in January 2022, as he was a backup for veteran Abdullah Al-Mayouf, before he became the second goalkeeper on the list of Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, after Moroccan Yassine Bono joined.
