There have been conflicting statements in recent hours regarding the fact that no funeral was held for the artist Sherine Seif Al-Nasr, especially since the half-brother of the late Sherif Seif Al-Nasr, in his Facebook post announcing the news of her death, confirmed that the funeral was limited to the cemeteries yesterday, Saturday, in implementation of her will.
Controversy arose on social networking sites, after the spread of statements by Khaled Mohieldin, Sherine’s business manager, which he made in a telephone interview with the Egyptian Channel 1, in which he announced the date and place of the funeral, confirming that the late family is scheduled to receive the funeral there next Tuesday evening, after prayers. Morocco at Al-Hamidiyah Al-Shazliya Mosque.
Sherif Saif Al-Nasr, the half-brother of the late artist, announced the death on his personal account on Facebook, and wrote: “My little half-sister, the artist Sherine Hanem, Elham Saif Al-Nasr, passed away today.”
He continued: “The prayer and burial took place in the family cemetery in peace and quiet, as the deceased requested, and the ceremonies are limited to that without condolences in accordance with her will. Please pray for her for mercy and forgiveness. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”
The late artist Sherine Seif Al-Nasr, who graduated in 1991 from the Faculty of Law, lived in France for several years, where the artist Youssef Francis met her while working there at the Egyptian embassy and discovered her to participate in the series One Thousand and One Nights in 1986.
The late woman participated in the starring role of several series, including: “Graed and Ghadeebat,” “Who Doesn’t Love Fatima,” “Money and Children,” and “The Thief That I Love.”
Among the most prominent films in which the late woman starred: Driver of the Hanim, with the late star Ahmed Zaki, the artist Abla Kamel, the late Sanaa Jamil, and “Sleeping in Honey,” which starred “The Leader” Adel Imam and the late Dalal Abdel Aziz.
It is noteworthy that the late Sherine Seif Al-Nasr’s latest work is the series “The Hardest Decision,” starring Ahmed Badir, Riyad Al-Khouly, Jamil Ratib, Abeer Sabry, Ahmed Khalil, Tamer Hagras, and Tariq Lotfy.
